Did you know that 87% of online marketers use Video content as a ways to sell their products/services?

In one of my last articles of 2016 I predicted that Video Marketing would be a huge trend for 2017, and this is already proving true. Through ASKING my audience, I know that their preferred way of receiving information is through Video over and above any other kind of content (images, infographics, written articles).

For today’s article, I want to talk to you about how you can master Video Marketing in 6 very simple ways. I was inspired to write this after receiving an email from Lou Bortone with a great infographic which I will share with you at the end of this article.

WHY Video Marketing Is Important

Having a video in your email marketing will increase your click-through rate by 200% – 300% and including a video on a landing page can increase conversion rates by 80%. Video Marketing is here, and it’s here to stay. If customers are 64% MORE likely to purchase your product/service after watching a video what are YOU doing to make sure that you are converting as many potential customers into paying customers?

So, how can you master Video Marketing in 6 simple ways?

1. Live Video

Since the introduction of Facebook Live, many businesses are turning to real-time live video marketing as a way to connect with their customers. Facebook are not the only one utilising this; Instagram have created Instagram Stores, and SnapChat’s popularity has increased dramatically over the last 12 months.

2. On-Camera

The traditional way of Video Marketing is to just get on camera, and create a video. YouTube is the world’s second largest search engine so use this to your advantage and create a YouTube channel. Think about starting off small with a welcome video, or a small introduction to a blog. Use on-camera marketing to give your target audience an insight into your world.

3. Screencasts

Screencasts have been around for a good few years, but 2017 will be the year where they become important for your business. A screencast is a video recording of your computer screen. A screencast is a great way to run online trainings, or record powerpoint presentations. I have been using GotoWebinar for years, and have found that this is a really effective tool as it allows you to manage signups, presenters as well as recordings.

4. Photo Montage

If you’re new to Video Marketing, and would rather stay away from the camera, you can always create photo montages. Use animoto to tell a story through a collection of images, with an overlay of text and music to give it more of a professional feel.

5. Animation

When it comes to promotional videos, animation is a great way to share information. Think about using animation for explainer videos, or even sketch-type videos. Animated video is slightly more complex than some of the other options but if you are feeling adventurous, take a look at powtoon, or VideoMakerFx.

6. Hybrid Video

A hybrid video is the combination of on-screen and both screen sharing. You can use the hybrid video option to both engage with your audience by talking to the camera, and also sharing your screen when talking about important information through a presentation. There are some great tools you can use to do this including Zoom, Skype and YouTube Live.
